International Association of Law Libraries (IALL)

The International Association of Law Libraries (IALL) is a worldwide, cooperative non-profit organization of librarians, libraries, and other persons and institutions concerned with the acquisition, dissemination and use of legal information from sources other than their own jurisdictions. Founded in 1959, the IALL has over 400 members in more than 50 countries on five continents. The members represent all types and sizes of legal collections ranging from academic law libraries to corporate libraries, and from national and parliamentary libraries to administrative agency and court libraries.Read More...

The International Council on Archives (ICA)

The International Council on Archives (ICA; in French: Conseil international des archives) is an international non-governmental organization which exists to promote international cooperation in archiving. It was set up in 1948, with Charles Samaran, the then director of the Archives de France, as chairman, and membership is open to national and international organisations, professional groups and individuals. In 2009 it grouped together over 1,400 institutional members in 190 countries. Its mission is to promote the conservation, development and use of the world's archives.

ICA is part of the International Committee of the Blue Shield (ICBS), which works to protect the world's cultural heritage threatened by wars and natural disasters, and whose Director General is currently the Frenchman Julien Anfruns from the International Council of Museums (ICOM).Read More....

Arizona Library Association (AzLA)

Arizona Library Association (AzLA)began in 1926, when Estelle Lutrell and State Librarian Con Cronin recognized the need for a strong association of librarians to improve Arizona libraries. The mission of the fledgling group was to "look after the general welfare of library work and workers in Arizona, to advance the education advantages of the state through libraries, and to promote general interest in library extension [traveling libraries]." From a beginning of 23 members, AzLA has grown to approximately 1,000 strong. International Association of Technological University Libraries (IATUL)

IATUL was founded in Düsseldorf, Germany, as the International Association of Technological University Libraries in May 1955, as an international forum for the exchange of ideas relevant to librarianship in technological universities throughout the world. IATUL is a voluntary international non-governmental organisation of a group of libraries, represented by their library directors or senior managers, who have responsibility for information services and resources management. The expanded name of IATUL was changed to the International Association of Scientific and Technological University Libraries at the 2009 General Assembly to reflect the broader range of institutions, which now make up the membership of the association.
